I’ve predominantly worked in the property management industry (for a very long time!) so took some time out during 2022/early 2023 before joining POD. During that time I spent some time painting and illustrating greetings cards, before realising that I missed the industry and being part of a team.

I joined in April 2023, so I’ve been with POD just over 4 months. I am the Client Relationship Director, involved in both new business and mobilisation, together with supporting the strategic goals for the company. After chatting with David during my interview process, it was clear to me that POD is a company with a passion for getting property management right. I wanted to work with an agile company that continually strives to get better and better, and where the team is valued and recognised.

Our industry can be very reactive and some days you can have a clear plan of what you need to tackle, and it goes out the window! It does help to keep things interesting though and there is always something new to learn.

Although, I feel the role is very rewarding, as you can make a difference to somebody – whether it be a client, a customer or a team member. Every day there are opportunities to help or support somebody in some way.

I enjoy being part of a team where I can make a difference and where my ideas and opinions are heard. Having spent a long time in property management I have experienced a lot of the joys and pitfalls of the industry along the way and it’s great that POD value what I can bring. It’s a very nurturing and supportive environment. Ultimately I’d like to continue to have the ability to shape POD for the future and be part of the board!
