From Wembley Site to Kings Road Park:

Interview with Hristo Veselinov, Day Concierge

What was your previous role before working at KRP and what is your role now?

I used to work as a night shift concierge at a hotel in Shoreditch for 7 years, helping guests book tickets and taxis during their stay. However, my current role at KRP is as a day shift concierge with POD Management, where I assist residents with parcels, keys, and other needs within the development. Although my role has been the same, one thing I've noticed is that managing properties requires more attention to detail than in a hotel setting.

What has your experience been like moving from Wembley to KRP?

Fortunately, the transition from Wembley to KRP was quite smooth. The team members I work with at POD have been a pleasure to collaborate with at both locations. I enjoy building a friendly relationship with our residents at KRP. It’s a great feeling when they praise you as that’s when you know you have done your job right, providing great customer service. I feel there is a difference in working in a BTR sector (Wembley) and moving to Private sector (KRP) as the residents were more casual in Wembley, in KRP they are a little more cautious as they stay for longer in these buildings, which is completely understandable. The only challenge I would say at KRP is that we have rules in place and residents would like us to make exceptions sometimes, I like seeing them happy so this can be difficult for me.

How was your transition changing roles from a day concierge to a night concierge?

Interestingly, I actually prefer night shifts as they allow me to focus on completing tasks in a quieter environment. However, my routine remained the same, and POD were able to accommodate me by providing four days off during the week, which I greatly appreciated!
