Plant, Equipment and Machinery

POD has a statutory obligation to test certain pieces of equipment regularly, ensuring that all plant and equipment at managed sites are suitable for the intended use; safe for use: properly inspected, serviced and maintained in accordance with manufacturer’s. All work equipment used by employees on site will be included in the planned preventative maintenance schedule.

Such applicable equipment includes: 

  • Passenger lifts 

  • Gates and barriers  

  • Access cradles 

  • Eye bolts and running lines (for roof access) 

  • Gas boilers 

Equipment will be removed from action should it fail inspection and necessary repairs made promptly.

Records of inspections and repairs are digitally maintained throughout the equipment’s lifetime.
