Meet Ben, Senior CRM at POD Management

We had the opportunity of interviewing one of our Senior Client Relationship Managers, who provided valuable insights into his role and why he finds working at POD rewarding. Carry on reading to discover Ben's exceptional Property Management skills and Client-centric approach.

Tell us a little about yourself and what your role is?

Senior Client Relationship Manager. Basically, I am on the 'front line', proactively managing several developments for POD and working with the clients, RMC, and lessees to ensure that day-to-day services and service levels, in general, are up to our high standards. Additionally, I oversee long-term planning, such as major works projects, and handle budgeting for service charges. I have worked in the Property Management industry for over 15 years, in various roles, including customer-facing and operations positions. My focus has always been on improving the customer experience and delivering value for money through field-based positions.

Outside of work, I enjoy playing, writing, and listening to a variety of music and genres. I am also a keen sportsman (football, darts, snooker, poker) and enjoy socialising with friends. Most importantly, I cherish spending time with my daughter and partner.

Why do you enjoy working for POD?

I enjoy the aspect of being visible on-site and having the opportunity to be out and about, making each day fairly varied. Meeting residents, clients, and contractors and actively pushing things forward on-site brings me great satisfaction. Whenever possible, I also take the initiative to carry out small repairs or tasks (e.g., fob programming) at my developments to keep costs down.

Additionally, I genuinely appreciate the collaborative aspect of the company. Everyone is friendly, and there is a strong willingness to help one another in the pursuit of providing excellent service to our customers.
